Frank and Brock

Captains

These guys have been at it a long time.  At some point just before their frontal lobes developed, these old friends moved to Hawaii in search of surf, sun and lifestyle and they found Kona Boys.  Somewhere along the way it just became their life and almost 25 years later these two still steer the ship.

Graham Bell

Waterman / Guide / Legend

Graham is the longest standing employee at Kona Boys, whilst being the youngest of the crew. During the Winter he films surf on the North Shore of Oahu, but Summers usually find him putting some time in at Kealakekua, where his knowledge and aloha are put to good use. If you miss him there, don’t worry, Graham doesn’t like to stay stagnant and chances are you’ll run into him playing volleyball in the center of Kona Town.

Tommy O

Legend / Waterman

Tommy always brings the aloha. His infectious smile, youthful spirit and extensive knowledge are perfectly suited to a beach boy. When not manning the Beach Shack, you’ll find Tommy out steering Sawai’i or out paddling for local canoe club Kai ‘Ehitu.

Jeffery “Jefe” Seward

Waterman / Guide / Manager

If you have read our trip advisor reviews, chances are you already know about “Jefe”.  His boyish charm, genuine concern for Kona Boys customers, and great local brewery knowledge make him a crowd favorite. With years under his belt with Kona Boys already, he has experience and talent beyond his years.

Craig “Bamm” Beatty

Manager / Waterman / Guide

Craig has that backcountry look and laid back style of someone who has spent their days in nature.  His quiet confidence and endless enthusiasm puts people at ease, especially when they get to see he has the water skills to back it up. Even on the days outside of guiding you’ll be hard of luck finding “Bamm” away from the water, he’s a regular of local water hole KP and spear-fisherman of the Kona Coasts.

Evan Hansen

Waterman / Guide

Some people are just easy to like and if you’ve read our Tripadvisor reviews, chances are you already know Evan is one of them. His easy going demeanor and thoughtful presence immediately put you at ease. If you’re lucky enough to have him as a guide or meet him at the beach make the most of your time, as Evan is taking his experience to help maintain Pu?uhonua o H?naunau, and will soon be scaling back the hours. We wish him well and hold on to the hope that his path will circle back around.

Caleb Irvin

Manager / Waterman / Guide

Caleb may only have one good leg right now, but you can’t keep him away from the water for long. Caleb hiked the length of the Appalachian Trail and the entirety of the Shenandoah river back in 2017, but he doesn’t plan on stopping there. He strives to find the toughest trails and best restaurants everywhere he goes, so make sure to ask him for recommendations when visiting our mauka shop!

James Aukai

Waterman / Guide / Manager

If you’ve been around Kona for awhile you probably already know James from walking the path around Kamakahonu or from walking the nose of his KB Schaper. If you’re just visiting, stop by the beach shack to learn some more from him.

Tyler Huzjak

Waterman / Guide

Constantly being praised by customers for his polished guiding skills and storytelling abilities, Tyler is an easy going guy who takes pride in his work.  By continuing to add knowledge to his game and working to make his tours silky smooth, Tyler is an asset to the team and one of our go to guides.

Eden Arias

Waterwoman / Guide

With a vibrant smile and knowledge beyond her years, Eden, the latest addition to the team, brings youthful enthusiasm and willingness to learn.  She’s already at home at our shop and recently finished her certs to start taking our guests on the water.  We’re stoked to watch her learn and grow and are sure it won’t be long before she’s helping to run the show.

Anita Stalb

Admin

Anita keeps an eye out from the crow’s nest making sure no rogue waves or hidden reefs interrupted our smooth sailing.  She is a stickler for details and watches our pennies and our backs.  While serious about Kona Boys, Anita has a lighter side, she is quick to make a joke and almost always wears a smile.

Morgan Youngblood

Waterman / Guide

Morgan is hands on, ambitions and not afraid  to do the dirty work, he has the right balance of interest and motivation to inspire those around him.   This first time father has his head down and is putting his best foot forward,  making himself integral to the team while building an epic lifestyle for his family.

Joe Brueck

Waterman / Guide

This guy made the decision to leave the corporate world behind and see what the Big Island had to offer. With his new found freedom you’ll find Joe experimenting with facial hair, and learning to dress down at work…Joe has perspective on his new lifestyle and it comes through in the way he treats the Kona Boys customers and the big smile hiding under his beard.

Makai Moore

Waterman / Guide

The newest member of the team, Makai brings with him a solid background in customer service and is a confident and capable waterman.  An aspiring photographer with a beautiful family, and a genuine aloha spirit, Makai fits right in with the crew and we’re stoked to have him on board.

Salina Palmisano

Waterman / Guide

If you see a motorcycle parked out front of Kona Boys, good chance Salina is holding down the shop.   An transplant to  the islands, this former softball and water polo athlete followed her spirit and landed at Kona Boys. She loves sharing her adventures and helping our guests enjoy theirs.

Hilary Lawson

Waterman / Guide

This east coast art school grad left the cold to find new inspiration in the tropics.  Most of her water experience comes in the form of snow, but she was raised on lakes and has a mean kayak game.  Watch for Hilary to shine at Kona Boys with creative input, a true appreciation for our amazing climate and natural beauty, and positive vibes to spare.
