Weather and Safety
Take a look at the weather, swell, and wind forecasts to better plan your day of adventuring.
Kona Boys has loved stand up paddling for years, which is why we were the first shop on the Big Island to start offering stand up boards and paddles.
Over that time, we’ve spent hundreds of hours pouring through surf and SUP magazines and sites, not to mention all our hours testing new gear as it came in to the shop–one of our favorite parts of the job. Through that work, some resources have stood out to us. We’ve listed a few of those here to help you get the most out of your stand up paddling.
Coincidentally, if you’re in need of any stickers for your board or truck, or some great paddling gear, check out our online shop.
Paddle Hawaii: Fantastic, custom, hand-made wooden stand up paddles by a great stand up paddler.

Big Island Community
We are fortunate to live and work in a community filled with wonderful people, and on the Big Island with each person you meet the island gets a little smaller. We have put together a list of our friends on the Big Island that may be able to help make your trip to paradise even a little bit better.
