Although JP is one of the newer member of the Kona Boys team, he has quickly cementedhimself as one of the key players. JP’s charming smile and genuine personality quickly endearhim to our guests and his welcoming personality makes him feel like an old friend. Hisbackground in outdoor activities and his love of nature are tangible and his level of customerservice is second to none. Ellie

Currently the only girl representing at Kona Boys, Ellie makes sure the Kona Boys isn’t just a boys club. Ellie is big city girl from Detroit, that transitioned to island life and hasn’t looked back. As relatable as they come, Ellie doesn’t know a stranger.
Keahi
Waterman / Guide
Mr Aloha! This guy has been a beach boy since his boyhood days on Oahu and embodies the Aloha Spirit. A life long paddler and waterman, this Hawaiian Superman shares his love of life and the water with everyone that comes his way. A giver through and through, Keahi shares his culture and knowledge with enthusiasm and sincerity that is contagious. A pillar in the Kona community Keahi is always donating his time and energy to help school groups and nonprofits and has really helped to expand Kona Boys philanthropic efforts.
Tommy O
Legend / Waterman
Another Kapuna (elder) on the Kona Boys team, Tommy O retired from a successful career as a restaurateur to share his experience and aloha with visitors to Hawaii. An avid canoe paddler and ocean lover, Tommy O spends his days, whether working or not, on the water. For Kona Boys, Tommy O specializes in providing memorable canoe rides full of insight and aloha for our guests while modeling professionalism and accountability to our staff.
Christian
Guide
The youngest member of the Kona Boys team, Christian is mature beyond his years, a quick study and a hard worker. We have big plans for this young man who is already assisting on guided tours and taking on responsibilities at the shop and shack. A transplant from Alaska with entrepreneur parents, Christian is quickly honing his island skills, spending his down time spearfishing and lobster diving. We are expecting big thing from Christian and look forward to watching him grow in his role at Kona Boys.
Michael
Guide
Our newest team member but a long time friend of the shop, Michael transitioned from being a surf and golf buddy to a part of the Kona Boys crew. Michael fits right in and brings with him waterman skills and cultural knowledge. Like most of the team, don’t be surprised if you find him in the water on his time off although he’s balancing life as a new father so he might not be out there as much as he’d like. Michael is a good guy to ask about surfboards as he was always swinging by to shop them before he joined the team. Michaels friendly and kind nature make him a natural around the store and set everyone at ease when they walk through the door, just don’t think about dropping in on him.
Brock and Frank
Captains
These guys have been at it a long time. At some point just before their frontal lobes developed, these old friends moved to Hawaii in search of surf, sun and lifestyle and they found Kona Boys. Somewhere along the way it just became their life and almost 25 years later these two still steer the ship.
Steve
Veteran Guide
A salty guiding veteran with international experience, Steve is a long time Kona Boys employee and guest favorite on the water. A consummate professional, Steve is quick to laugh and has an easy going personality that sets everyone at ease. As a pro, Steve has a wealth of knowledge about the history and culture of the area as well as the marine life that we commonly see. A day on the water with Steve is a day well spent
